Security’s changing, are you keeping up?

How do we keep up with security, stay secure and stop data leaks? These are the question on everyone’s mind. From global organisations, to the local cafe down the road and back to even you and I, we all have security in mind these days.
How do we answer the question? With stronger passwords, two step verification, VPNs? The answer comes down to using all of the above, and more. When it comes down to securing information it falls into two camps; trusting a third party with your data or protecting it yourself. Last month the team at Apricorn sent Hacking Insider their newest product that tackles this very problem.
The Aegis Secure Key 3z is an all rounded security tool that would be well placed in anyone’s security toolkit.
The Aegis Secure Key 3z is the newest offering from Apricorn. It shares all of the great features of it’s predecessor, that we reviewed back in September, including FIPS Level 3 accreditation and 256-bit AES XTS Hardware Encryption. As well as this the 3z comes with a myriad of small but useful changes. The two most pressing of these being its smaller form factor and the introduction of the Aegis Configuration Tool.
Taking a step back what does this mean? Like the Aegis Secure Key 3 the 3z uses 256-bit AES XTS Hardware Encryption and boasts a tamper evident containment. This being part of the FIPS 140-2 Level 3 accreditation means that not only is the device tamper-evident but that it also attempts to prevent the intruder from gaining access to the cryptographic module. The Aegis Secure Key 3z is an all rounded security tool that would be well placed in anyone’s security toolkit. If you want to take your USB security to the next level then you’ll want to keep an eye on the 3z.
